Viola
M. L. Ange, president and founder of IPParalegals, is an Intellectual
Property Specialist with over 25 years of paralegal experience
in US and foreign patent, trademark and copyright prosecution
and litigation. Ms. Ange attended Mesa College In San Diego before
transferring to San Diego State University - majoring in business
administration and minoring in physics.
Throughout
her career Ms. Ange has strived to make a difference in the IP
prosecution paralegal community; defining and expanding many of
the value-added services they offer today. Her assignments have
encompassed nearly everything from conducting corporate field
investigations in the U.S. to directing major law firm start-up
and restructuring projects in Europe. Having excelled in IP boutique
law firms, general practice law firms, corporations and as an
independent consultant & contractor, her knowledge base and
capabilities are impressive and unique.
Within
the IP community, Ms. Viola Ange has been actively presenting
and educating at industry roundtables, seminars and conferences
since 1990. She authored the industry's landmark patent and trademark
paralegal employment knowledge tests, and has served as a co-director,
speaker and panelist for the Annual DAPA Intellectual Property
Conference since its second year of operation. Ms. Ange is also
a recognized author, presenter & educator of CLE curriculum on
domestic & foreign patent prosecution in North Texas.
Most
recently, Viola's career accomplishments merited her membership
on the Steering Committee for the newly created Non-Lawyer Professional
Group at the Center for American and International Law. As a CAIL
instructor and member of the NLPG Steering Committee, Ms. Ange
will assume an even greater leadership role in advancing the education
level and professional recognition of the IP Paralegal community.
