IPParalegals is a Dallas/Fort Worth based Intellectual Property Prosecution Paralegal Services firm. Our experienced non-lawyer professionals are specialists at providing law firms, solo practitioners and corporate legal departments that prosecute patents, trademarks & copyrights with whatever is ethically necessary to ensure their success.

IPParalegals began in May of 1985 as VMA Consulting, a pioneering IP services outsourcing firm. VMA was born from client requests for our founder to freelance her prowess at fixing mistakes that supposedly could not be fixed. With a front row seat to many astounding breakthrough technologies and scientific discoveries during the 1980s, VMA Consulting's reputation grew for its unique and value-added contributions.

As clients thrived their paralegals and legal secretaries went in search of IP prosecution training to keep up. At the time Intellectual Property was considered somewhat of an irreverent cult. In fact, education for the discipline did not exist. IP was largely ignored in the NALA's general practice CLA program, and a degree in Paralegal Studies (also gp) remained decades away. So in 1990, IP technical education became an integral part of VMA Consulting's repertoire.

By 1992, demand for VMA's expertise increased to the extent where critical business decisions were forthcoming. After four years of due diligence and planning, VMA Consulting expanded into IPParalegals in 1996. We have been growing ever since, incorporating in November of 2010 to become today's IPParalegals, LLC.

VMA Consulting to IPParalegals... past to present... a quarter century of IP prosecution history... and counting. Here is a small sampling of momentus events that occurred during our early years:
   - Introduction of the computer CD-ROM
   - Adobe releases PostScript
   - Soviet Union's Mir space station is launched
   - The Human Genome Project begins
   - Microsoft's Windows computer operating system is born
   - Followed by Apple Computer, Inc. v. Microsoft Corporation, 35 F.3d 1435
   - The first 1 megabit RAM chip is released
   - DNA fingerprinting is discovered
   - CERN's Tim Berners-Lee authors WorldWideWeb (Nexus) - the planet's first web browser...
