Statement is effective as of February 14, 2023.
Your
privacy is important to IPParalegals... VERY important. As a legal
services firm, confidentiality is the rule that governs our business
privileges. Maintaining your trust is paramount to us.
This Statement discloses the information practices for IPParalegals
and the IPParalegals web site, including what type of information
is gathered and tracked, how the information is used, and with
whom the information is shared. This Statement applies to the
entire IPParalegals web site. From time to time, we may supplement
this Statement with additional information relating to a particular
interaction we have with you.
IPParalegals is a member of Webtrust Certificate Authorities whose principles and criteria are based
on the Trust Services developed by the AICPA/CICA. In compliance
with Webtrust, areas of IPParalegals web site system designated
as secure (the System) are protected against unauthorized physical
and logical access. Personal information is collected, used, retained,
and disclosed in conformity with the commitments as set forth
in this Privacy Statement, and adheres to the criteria set forth
in Generally Accepted Privacy Principles issued by the AICPA/CICA.
The System's Webtrust program covers only information that is
collected through IPParalegas' web site. Its coverage does not
extend to information that may be collected from 3rd party web
sites or through software downloaded from our site.
IPParalegals
web site abides by the Safe Harbor framework implemented by the
United States Department of Commerce regarding the collection,
use and retention of information as set forth in the European
Commission's Directive on Data Protection.
Collection of Personal Information
You
may choose to submit personal information directly in a variety
of situations. For example, you may want to give us your name
and contact information to communicate with you, to provide you
with a subscription or a service, or to do business with us if
you are a supplier or a business partner. You may also share a
description of your education and work experience in connection
with a job opening at IPParalegals for which you wish to be considered.
If you tell us that you do not want us to use your information
to make further contact with you beyond fulfilling your request,
we will respect your wishes.
We
may also collect information relating to your use of our web site
through the use of various technologies. For example, when you
visit our web site, we may log certain information that your browser
sends us, such as your IP address, browser type and language,
access time, and referring web site addresses. We may also collect
information about the pages you view within our sites and other

With regard to IPParalegals' collection of information that pertains
to you indirectly through other sources, such as vendor lists...
No worries because we don't do that.
Use of Personal Information
The following paragraphs describe in more detail how IPParalegals
may use your personal information.
Fulfilling your Transaction Request
If you request something from IPParalegals, for example, a product
or service, a callback, or specific marketing materials, we will
use the information you provide to fulfill your request. To help
us do this we may share information with solution partners to
fulfill your request, but only as required.
Personalizing your Experience on our Web Site
We
may use information we collect to provide you with a personalized
experience on our web site, such as enabling your browser to interact
with our RSS feed should you subscribe to it, or when you subscribe
to a newsletter.
Providing Support
We
may use your personal information to support services you have
obtained from us, such as notifying you of a service update or
recommendation. In the course of providing support to you, we
may sometimes have incidental access to data that you have provided
to us. This Privacy Statement does not apply to our access to
or handling of this information; the conditions regarding the
handling and processing of that data is covered by the applicable
Terms of Use or other confidential agreements between you and
IPParalegals.
Marketing
Personal information you provide to IPParalegals, as well as information
we have collected from your web browser, will not be used by IPParalegals
for marketing purposes without your expressed written consent.
A prime example of where we may use your personal information
would be when we post positive customer feedback in our Endorsements
section. We will ask you if we can use your personal information
first, and publish it only with your consent.
We do not procure personal information... to anyone... period.
Some
of our service offerings may be co-branded, that is sponsored
by both IPParalegals and third parties. If you sign up for these
offerings, be aware that your information may also be collected
by and shared with those third parties. We encourage you to familiarize
yourself with their privacy policies to gain an understanding
of the manner in which they will handle information about you
if you choose to accept.
If
you choose to "Email This Page" to a friend or colleague - excellent.
That's free marketing for us and we won't ask you for anything
to do it. We aren't greedy.
Recruitment
In connection with a job application or inquiry, whether advertised
on an IPParalegals' web site or otherwise, you may provide us
with information about yourself, such as a resume. We may use
this information throughout IPParalegals in order to address your
inquiry or consider you for employment purposes. Unless you tell
us not to do so, we may keep the information for future consideration.
Use
of Information in the Social Media Environment
IPParalegals provides social networking tools on our web site
to enable online sharing and collaboration among members who have
registered to use them. These may include wikis, blogs and other
social media platforms.
When
registering to use these tools, you will be asked to provide certain
personal information. Registration information that is not automatically
made available to other participants as part of your profile will
be subject to and protected in accordance with this Privacy Statement.
Any
other content you post, such as pictures, information, opinions,
or any other type of personal information that you make available
to other participants on these social platforms, is not subject
to this Privacy Statement. Rather, such content is subject to
the Terms of Use of those platforms, and any additional guidelines
and privacy information provided in relation to their use. Please
refer to them to better understand yours, IPParalegals, and other
parties' rights and obligations with regard to such content. You
should be aware that the content you post on any such social computing
platforms may be made broadly available to others inside and outside
IPParalegals. That is the essence of social media.
Protecting
the Rights and Property of IPParalegals and Others
We may also use or share your information to protect the rights
or property of IPParalegals, our business partners, suppliers,
clients, or others when we have reasonable grounds to believe
that such rights or property have been or could be affected. In
addition, we reserve the right to disclose your personal information
as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary
to protect our rights, or the rights of others, or to comply with
a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on
our web sites.
Information for Business Partners
If you represent an IPParalegal business partner, you may visit
an area of IPParalegals web site intended specifically for IPParalegals
business partners. We may use information provided to administer
and develop our business relationship with you, the business partner
you represent, and IPParalegals business partners generally. For
instance, this may involve using your information to send you
details of IPParalegals business partner programs. It may also
include sharing certain information with other business partners,
or IPParalegals clients or prospects. In connection with a particular
transaction or program, we may also contact you as part of customer
satisfaction surveys or for market research purposes.
Information for Suppliers
If you represent an IPParalegals supplier, you may visit an area
of IPParalegals web site intended specifically for use by IPParalegals
suppliers. We may use the information provided in connection with
granting access to the specified area of our web site, as well

of the IPParalegals web site, IPParalegals' business partners,

We

encrypt certain sensitive personal information such as form submissions
when we transmit such information over the Internet.

mentioned above, we collect generic information from your visits
to our web site that helps us better understand our web site's
usage and effectiveness, to personalize your experience on our
site, and to tailor our web site's interactions with you.

Web analytics usually work in conjunction with cookies. If you

If you turn off cookies, analytics and other technologies will
still detect visits to these pages; however, they will not be

Online Advertising
IPParalegals does not currently deliver third party online advertisements
on our web site but we advertise our products and services on
others' web sites. We may collaborate with web site operators
as well as network advertisers to do so. Please familiarize yourself
with those web site operators' or network advertisers' privacy
policies to understand their practices relating to advertising,
including what type of information they may collect about your
Internet usage. IPParalegals does not provide any information
relating to your usage of our web site to web site operators or
network advertisers.
Links to non-IPParalegals Web Sites
IPParalegals' web site may contain links to non-IPParalegals web
sites that are not affiliated with IPParalegals. IPParalegals
is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of
those other web sites.

We will post a notice at the top of this page notifying users
when this Privacy Statement is updated or modified in a material
way. If we are going to use your personal information in a manner
different from that stated at the time of collection, we will
make a reasonable effort to notify you, and you will have a choice
as to whether or not we can use your personal information in such
